Yes, our BMS features a low-temperature protection cut-off function to protect the battery from low-temperature damage and extend its lifespan. Low temp cut off protection (Charge): 0ºC ± 4ºC (32°F ± 39.2°F). Low temp cut off protection (Discharge): -20ºC ± 4ºC (-4°F ± 39.2°F).
Q What is a BMS (Battery Management System) and what does it do?
A Battery Management System (BMS) is responsible for protecting the Li-ion cells and the user from unsafe operating conditions, such as low or high voltage, low or high temperatures, and system shorts. It shuts off the battery to prevent damage. The BMS also ensures cell balance during each charge cycle by regulating the charging rate of individual cells to maintain overall pack efficiency and lifespan.
Q How long do LiFePO4 batteries last?
Our LiFePO4 lithium iron batteries provide 4000+ cycles, compared to 300-500 cycles in lead-acid batteries. The service life of LiFePO4 batteries is 8 to 10 times longer than standard lead-acid batteries.
